Coco Chanel is our history hero this month. She wasn’t afraid to be different and she used her creativity to help others.
We were so lucky to have ‘Coco Chanel’ come in to design some one-off orders during Aistear. ‘Can I please be Coco Chanel today?’, before she pulled reams of fabric from a box that was hidden under the sink.
Aistear is much more than an hour of play at the end of the day. It is a framework which allows children to explore, process and deepen their knowledge, on their terms and at their pace, as they navigate through the infant curriculum and create meaningful, real life experiences.
We’re not sure if Coco is taking any more orders. She’s very busy. But she did say she’ll take any unwanted fabrics, buttons and trimmings and she’ll teach her peers her trade secrets.
